CBD Dosage General Guidelines

While we may use the word dosage occasionally, we are not medical providers and we are not providing medical advice.

Unlike the majority of pharmaceuticals, CBD does not have adverse effects on your body’s organs. The cannabinoid works in alliance with your body and its Endocannabinoid system (ECS).

With that said, when it comes to the proper quantity of CBD that should be taken, the most important thing to remember is, every person’s quantity requirements are unique, and is dependent on many different factors.

Body weight and the severity of any medical conditions can have a big impact on the proper amount of CBD that should be consumed.

Below is a small table that provides a general guide to CBD daily consumption amounts based on weight and the severity of the persons medical condition:

These are just average guidelines and not medical advice.

These are just average guidelines and not medical advice.

You should start at the lower range level based on your weight. Take the same amount morning and night for about a week. Track both your good and bad experiences for a week or two.

Then gradually increase the amount taken to reach the maximum level for your body weight and severity of your condition.

You should wait at least one week for the effects of each “dosage”change to be adjusted and reflected in your body. Please remember there is no one size fits all. CBD effects everyone differently.

The most effective way of finding the perfect amount for you is through the trial and error method or by experimenting. This is a safe way to do it because there are no fears of overdosing with CBD, and the side effects are not very common and if they do occur, the severity is mild.

When you experiment, it is best to start with the lowest amount recommended for your condition and body weight.

Then, very gradually, increase the amount until you reach your desired benefits with no side effects. When you adjust the amount, make sure the changes are very small so that the final “dosage” results are accurate.

It is important to reiterate, that at every milligram change, you must give your body at least one week to become adjusted to the changes. Record your progress. Write down all the details as you increase CBD amounts. These details include:

  • The amount of CBD taken

  • When taken

  • Body weight

  • What you ate before and or after

  • Your experiences before taking CBD

  • Your experiences after taking CBD

This is only a general guideline to follow. You should include every relevant thing while you are using CBD. Keep a detailed log and fill it up with data every day so that at any time, you can easily find out which amounts were beneficial for you and which were not so good for you.

We recommend you consult your physician if you have any questions or concerns about the proper amount of CBD to consume or if you are currently taking any medications.
